BOOX Picco — the card-sized BOOX Tile for pages and fun

The BOOX Picco is a 3.97″ monochrome E Ink reader about the size of a playing card: 105.5 × 62 × 5.5 mm and roughly 58 g, in a white aluminium-alloy frame. It is the first device in BOOX Tiles, a new range that sits apart from the BOOX Tablets line. Picco is made for the short reads in the gaps of a day — the checkout queue, the school pickup, the wait for a coffee — so you reach for a chapter instead of your phone.

• Easy transfers – send books, images and fonts across with the BOOX Tiles phone app, the web uploader at booxtiles.com, a phone scan, or a USB-C cable

Worth knowing before you order

• This is not an Android device, by design. Picco runs a streamlined reading system on an ESP32 chipset — there is no app store and no web browser, so there are no notifications and no feeds to pull you off the page.
• Your library lives on the microSD card. The 16 MB of onboard flash is for the system itself; your books, fonts and images go on the included 16 GB card, transferred with the BOOX Tiles app, the web uploader or a cable.
• The magnets are in the case, not the device. The optional magnetic ring case is what snaps Picco onto the back of a phone; Picco itself has no magnets, which keeps it lighter.
• The magnetic case is an optional extra, sold separately — it is not part of the standard bundle.
• BOOX has not published a battery-life figure for Picco. We would rather leave that blank than guess.

Pre-order

Picco is a pre-order. BOOX opened pre-orders on 28 September 2026 and expects to begin shipping from late October 2026. We will email you with the New Zealand delivery window as soon as our first shipment is booked.
